Dirty RTI

Jet Jet’s RTI of a hairy plaster cast from the Maudslay collection at Blythe House. A pepperpot was used as the registration device rather than the conventional black ball.

‘Dirty RTI’ was a term first coined by Lena Kotoula  when she saw our attempts to use the process to record spaces rather than surfaces, moving objects and misshapen registration devices.

There are some more examples here from Ian Dawson and Louisa Minkin’s Taplow House Show at ASC in 2015.

Check out also the banner image for TAG this year, a great Dirty RTI from Marta Diaz Guardamino. Ian Dawson will be giving a paper on RTI there this year.
